monday at the beach

When warm weather arrives, my mind and soul wander off to the beach.
(Unfortunately, my body just doesn’t get a chance to go!)

Whether it’s New England or the Gulf coast, 

I am physically and emotionally drawn to sand and surf.

But, this week I am really shaking it up and featuring a Beach House in Dominican Republic – so hold on to your straw hats...

The Casa Kimball by Architect firm Rangr Studio is a unique and stunning modern rental villa (yes, I said RENTAL!) located in Cabrera in Dominican Republic.

Completed in December 2008, Casa Kimball is a private (I mean, come on - look at the location in that above photo!) beach house get-away and luxury rental villa located on the North coast of the Dominican Republic. Situated on a cliff with a panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean, each of eight full suites has a breathtaking view out to the ocean.

Casa Kimball is situated on three acres of pristine property surrounded by almond trees and coco palms. Rangr Studio designed the gigantic window/doors to pivot effortlessly on ball bearings, with very thin frames, made of a South-American hardwood as strong as steel. Two finishes of local coral stone make up much of the wall and floor finish.

The villa is about 20,000 square feet, and includes two indoor and two outdoor lounges, a dining room with a view centered on the pool out to the ocean (and would you check out that infinity pool?), and an outdoor bar area.

Casa Kimball invites its lucky guests to an exceptional and truly exclusive private vacation experience. Casa Kimball can be booked for... (are you ready?) $3,000 to $5,000 per day, depending on the season.
