Surprise - Yes, it’s only Thursday. But with
this horridly cold weather outside (Southside of Atlanta Georgia and it’s 25
degrees out there), I thought I would share an idea on how to make this cold
day feel just a little warmer.
How about a nice warm bowl of Chili for
dinner?
Ingredients
1 onion, chopped
1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
1 can each light kidney beans, navy beans,
black beans, corn
2 cans diced tomatoes
2 cans tomato soup & 2 soup cans of
water
1 tsp salt, ½ tsp pepper, 1 tsp basil
1 tsp chili powder, 1 bay leaf, ½ T parsley
Directions
In Dutch oven, fry beef with onion until
onion is translucent
Add remaining ingredients. Simmer uncovered
for 30 minutes

Use your imagination – what would you put Chili on: Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, French Fries, Baked Potatoes, Pasta, small bags of Corn Chips?
Now, doesn't a nice warm bowl of Chili sound good for a cold winter's night?
