CORN BEEF AND CABBAGE
Cover with water and bring to a
boil in a Dutch oven:
3 lb beef
brisket
Add:
1 chopped
onion
2 cloves
minced garlic
6
potatoes, quartered
½ tsp
salt
6
peppercorns
8 T
butter
Pinch of
baking soda
1 small
head cabbage, quartered
Simmer ½
hour per pound of meat.
Let sit
45 minutes and carve
