My home is a very traditional, colonial style home… designed after the beautiful homes of
Anyway… For the past 25 years, I have had a beautiful red front door
on my house… Red, as in American flag red - which I proudly display each and
every day. I love the pop of red that adds interest to the gray siding,
white trim, and black shutters on my exterior.
But recently, I have been debating on painting
my door a different color. (The door really needs painting so now is the time for a decision)
I know, 25 years is a pretty strong standing
tradition… but I feel some change could be in order, I am thinking a different color, High Gloss Black? I like the
fact that the shutters are already black and it would all tie in together
but I am a bit hesitant – It's hard to break 25 years of the same thing.
And don’t even tell my children, (grown and gone, but) … “Mom, you changed everything!” - every time they come home… even if it’s just moving the
salt and pepper shakers to a different spot on the countertop in the kitchen! Does this happen to you too?
So with all this into consideration, I am putting this one out to you…
